Handmade 'Prince' brooch, by Lincoln based maker, Jennifer Jackson Dolls

Created to invoke a sense of nostalgia and play, Jennifer Jackson Dolls are made entirely by hand in a tiny corner of a tiny house under the shadow of Lincoln Cathedral.

Jennifer arrived in the city ready to study criminology and somewhere along the journey, was creatively distracted. Her fascination with people and habits lingered, and after teaching creative workshops, realised that the attendees wanted to buy examples brought along to inspire them.

Doll making doesn’t allow for boredom, with Jennifer’s distinctive style combining machine stitching (on a faithful model from 1976) and hand embroidery, with needle felting and tiny dress making.
